There is a point in the near-death experience that you are told, clearly, not to cross. If you go any further into the process, there is no coming back. No exceptions.
Don Winner — former US Air Force intelligence officer and NSA analyst — breaks down what the NDE data shows about this hard boundary: who reaches it, what they’re told, and why the people who choose to stay are the ones we never get to interview.
And here’s what’s striking — it’s never a commandment. Nobody is forced back. It’s always a matter of free will. You are shown your reasons to return — your kids, your life plan, the things you designed before you were even born — and the decision is yours.

Transcript:
There is a particular subset of people who, when they cross over and are told “you should go back” or “you can go back,” say, “No, I love it here. This is great. I don’t want to go back.” Well, if you go to a certain point in that process, there is a hard boundary — and people are told clearly: if you go any further into this process, it will be impossible for you to come back. You cannot return if you take one more step.
There is a boundary. A hardcore boundary. And anybody who has gone past that boundary has never been interviewed.
Host: That makes sense. Yes, of course. Because there are people you’ve talked to who remember reaching that point of no return — they were told clearly that if they went any deeper into the process, there was no coming back.
Don: Right. But then it’s like, “Well, you’ve got your kids. You’ve got reasons to live. You’ve got things that are going to happen in your life later that were part of the life plan you designed before you were even born. You’ve got things you should go back and do.” It’s always a convincing process — it’s not a commandment. There’s no “you will return.” It’s always a matter of free will.
Host: That’s really fascinating.
